Nam Kwong Group Holds 2019 Spring Reunion with the Press

On February 25, Nam Kwong Group held a press conference, where LOCPG's Minister of Liaison and Culture, Wan Sucheng, Deputy Minister Liu Wei, and the Deputy Director of the Information Bureau of the SAR Government, Huang Leyi as well as people in charge of the news media from Macao, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, attended the banquet with the leaders of Nam Kwong Group, managers of functional departments of the headquarters, and the heads of the second-level companies. The atmosphere during the banquet was warm.

On behalf of the Nam Kwong Group, Fu Jianguo expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the old and new friends of the LOCPG, the SAR Government and the news press for their concern and attention over the reform and development of Nam Kwong Group and their reporting and demonstration of Nam Kwong Group's corporate image. He pointed out that in 2018, Nam Kwong Group, under the guidance of President Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, adhered to the general tone of steady progress, continued to deepen supply-side structural reforms, and implemented high-quality development requirements. Based on the principle of being “rooted in Macao”, the Group will steadily promote the smooth and orderly operation of the Macau public bus transportation business, assisted with the development of the financial industry characteristic of Macao, notably with the establishment of Chongwa (Macao) Financial Asset Exchange Co., Ltd. on December 12. Based on the spirits of "connecting with the mainland", the Group further strengthened the human resources management services, became one of the first batch of innovation bases approved by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and jointly held the first Macao China International Human Capital Forum that provided a new communication platform for enterprises in the Greater Bay Area. Based on the strategy of "expanding overseas services", the Group vigorously participated in international activities such as the Shanghai China International Import Expo and promoted business development, strengthened cooperation and promoted win-win situations among central enterprises, and built a new driving force for sustainable development of enterprises. Cooperative development is the consistent belief of Nam Kwong Group that “Nam Kwong +” will become the main development model of Nam Kwong in the future.

Fu Jianguo said that Nam Kwong Group vigorously fulfilled its social responsibilities, strengthened its poverty alleviation efforts, and invested more than RMB10 million in poverty alleviation funds. The Group strengthened its industrial poverty alleviation efforts in Luquan County of Yunnan and Linxia County of Gansu Province, participated in Macao's help initiative with Congjiang County of Guizhou Province, and vigorously carried out assistance and mutually beneficial cooperation in professional education and training, special agricultural products sales and hotel investment. Moreover, the Group also donated to Macau Daily Reader Charity Foundation, Tung Sin Tong, and 6 universities and colleges in Macao to support charity, education and community work in Macao.

Fu Jianguo emphasized that in 2019, we will usher in the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, as well as the 20th anniversary of the return of Macao and the important historical node of the Group's 70th anniversary. This is also the moment when Nam Kwong Group starts to pursue the new journey of becoming a state-owned capital investment company. Nam Kwong Group will arrange a series of celebrations to demonstrate the development process of the Group together with Macao, and with the motherland China. We also welcome friends from the press to broaden the publicity and exposure of Nam Kwong Group. On February 18, the planning of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was officially launched, showing us the grand blueprint for building a world-class Bay Area and a world-class city group. The prospects are bright and the future is expected. Nam Kwong Group will also unswervingly follow the requirements of the central government, implement the overall tone of steady progress, and adhere to the development of the cooperative and win-win philosophy, build a growing and unique state-owned capital investment company with high-quality to help Macao participate in the “Belt and Road”, in the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as well as in the construction of “one center and one platform”, and eventually promote Macao's active integration into the overall development of the country.
