Nam Kwong Group Holds the Launching Ceremony of the 2019 Ascendant Walk and the 70th Anniversary of Nam Kwong Group
On February 24, in order to embrace the upcoming 70th anniversary of the Nam Kwong Group, the Group held the launching ceremony of the 2019 Ascendant Walk and the 70th Anniversary of Nam Kwong in Tai Tam Hill, Macao. Zhu Hong, deputy minister of economic affairs of LOCPG, was invited to attend the event and cut the ribbon. The Group's leaders, managers from the headquarters' functional departments and the employees and family members of the Macao-based second-level companies, as well as some of the retired cadres and employee representatives, attended the ceremony.
At 10 o'clock in the morning, Fu Jianguo, Chairman of the Board, announced the start of the 2019 ascendant walk and the 70th anniversary of Nam Kwong Group. He said that in the past 70 years, Nam Kwong Group was born to welcome the founding of the new China. It rose in the tide of reform and opening up, revived with the opportunity of Macao's return to the motherland, and took off again in the occasion of the reform of state-owned enterprises in the new era. Throughout its 70 years of history, experiencing wind and rain, going through hard work and making progress against difficulties, Nam Kwong Group has eventually painted a magnificent historical picture, and written a song of inspiring struggle.
He pointed out that in the past 70 years, Nam Kwong Group has always stood at the forefront of the times, breathing with the motherland, sharing the same fate, participating in and witnessing the important historical moments of the country and Macao; take commitments to the economic development and people's livelihood of Macao, working together its people; Adhere to the principle of advancing with the times, continuously promote transformational innovation and high-quality development, and embark on a road of reform, adjustment, development, and take-off; guided by a strong spiritual force of union, strive furiously in the face of adversity, and maintain the momentum in times of stability. The achievements of Nam Kwong Group are dependent on the growing prosperity of the motherland and the progress of the times, owing to the wise leadership of the central government and the country, and inseparable from the care and support of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Macao Liaison Office and the Macao SAR Government. The recognition with the majority of Macao citizens also embodies the wisdom and hard work of generations of Nam Kwong people.
He stressed that the pilot of state-owned capital investment company initiative as well as the release of Outline of Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, has set a new historical development orientation for people at Nam Kwong Group. Nam Kwong people will draw wisdom from the Group's glorious history of 70 years and continue to move forward. In its new journey on top of the continuous development history, we will carry forward the spirit of Nam Kwong and vigorously adhere to the development concept of “Nam Kwong +”, as well as joining hands with friends from all areas of life to jointly create a better tomorrow for the Group.
The Nam Kwong Group's climbing team started from the assembly point of the Datan Mountain grassland and walked along the Datan Mountain walking trail for a total length of 4 kilometers, which lasted for one hour. The event received strong support from the SAR Government, which sent professionals to assist the entire event.
