A delegation from the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR led by Commissioner Shen Peili visited Nam Kwong on the afternoon of November 20. Nam Kwong chairman Fu Jianguo received the delegation at the reception room, where profiled the company and accompanied the delegation to visit the company’s history and culture center. Deputy Commissioners Wang Dong and Yuan Hengge of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR as well as Nam Kwong vice president Luo Qun, executive director Chen Zhiying, general counsel and manager of the General Office Zhao Yufu, and manager of the Human Resources Department Wang Bo among others were at the meeting.
Fu Jianguo extended warm welcome to the delegation led by Commissioner Shen and expressed appreciation for the support of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR to Nam Kwong. He briefed on the characteristics of Nam Kwong, including its emphasis on people’s livelihood as its main line of business, its integration into Macao society, its moderately-scale and high-quality business operation, and its reform as a SOE. Fu said Nam Kwong will continue carrying on its fine corporate traditions accumulated over the past 70 years and grasp development opportunities brought by reform. It will uphold the corporate philosophy of of “Nam Kwong plus” and implement the development strategy of taking root in Macao, connecting Macao with the Chinese mainland, and expanding business overseas amid efforts to boost Macao’s transformation into a moderately diverse economy and integration into national development.
Commissioner Shen Peili congratulated on Nam Kwong’s 70th founding anniversary and applauded its historic contributions to promoting social and economic development on mainland and in Macao as well as foreign exchanges. She said that learning about the history of Nam Kwong helped people better understand Macao economy and society. It was also closely connected with the efforts of building Macao into a world’s leisure tourist center and a platform serving commerce and business between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, transforming Macao into a moderately diverse economy and expanding the business of Nam Kwong in the future, she added, expressing hopes that the two sides will further strengthen exchanges and jointly promote the long-lasting prosperity and stability of Macao SAR.
After the meeting, Shen’s delegation, accompanied by Fu Jianguo, visited the history and culture center of Nam Kwong. During the visit, they watched a documentary about the history of Nam Kwong. Affirming the significance of the history and culture center, she sent best wishes to Nam Kwong and hoped it will create greater accomplishments in the new era.
