Nam Kwong leadership attends topping-out ceremony of a Hengqin project

The topping-out ceremony for the major structure of a Nam Kwong project in Hengqin was held on the morning of November 5, 2019. Nam Kwong vice president Luo Qun, executive director Chen Zhiying, assistant president Song Xiaodong, officials with the Administration Committee of the Hengqin New District, leaders with the Nam Kwong Real Estate Co., Ltd., and leaders of its contractor Shanghai Construction No.1 (Group) Co., Ltd., project supervisor, designer and prospector attended the ceremony.

Cai Ziliang, general manager of the Hengqin company said when he addressed the ceremony that the project had received strong support of Nam Kwong, Nam Kwong Real Estate Co., Ltd. and the departments at all levels of the Administration Committee of the Hengqin New District since its inception in February 2017. The main contractor Shanghai Construction No.1 (Group) Co., Ltd. and participating construction organizations rallyed and surmounted many difficulties such as restrictions of construction sites, transportation and weather, finishing the construction part three months in advance as agreed in contract. Cai said Hengqin company and all participating construction units will continue assume responsibilities, think in big picture terms, ensure construction safety and quality and build Hengqin Nam Kwong Building into a quality project that stands to tests.

Li Juan, deputy director of Macao affairs department of the Administration Committee of the Hengqin New District, attended and addressed the ceremony, in which she applauded Nam Kwong’s contribution to social and economic development as well as prosperity and stability in Macao. She also called for Nam Kwong and its real estate company to play a greater role in building the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and advancing Zhuhai-Macao cooperation. The administration committee will remain support to projects in the Hengqin New District as it always does and provide better and more efficient services to businesses to ensure smooth project construction.

Yu Jianqiang, president of Shanghai Construction No.1 (Group) Co., Ltd., congratulated on the completion of the main structure in high quality and standard and in advance in his speech. He spoke highly of the coordination, solidarity and hard work of all people contributed to the construction and called on them to continue efforts in advancing the project.

Witnessed by all attending guests, representatives of participating organizations and companies shoveled in the last square-meter concrete for the highest 35th floor, marking the successful topping out of the building which encapsulates the wisdom and sweat of all organizations involved. This also signified a major success of the Hengqin project. At the next stage, construction will be focused on curtain walls, internal electricity and interior decoration. Hengqin company will join hands with all companies and organizations involved to continue upholding the corporate philosophy of being rigorous, pragmatic, solidary and self-reliant and ensure the completion of the project by the end of 2020.
