On the morning of November 11, Nam Kwong chairman Fu Jianguo held a meeting with his counterpart of Huafa Group at the Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center. Nam Kwong general accountant Peng Jinhong, in the name of the company, signed an agreement for strategic cooperation with Huafa Group. Nam Kwong’s general counsel Zhao Yufu, assistant president Song Xiaodong, executive deputy manager of the Development Planning Department Yang Dong, executive deputy manager of Assets Management Department Shi Yulin, general manager of Nam Kwong Logistics Co., Ltd. Zhang Qing, and Chong Wa (Macao) Financial Asset Exchange Co., Ltd. (MOX) president and chief executive Zhang Weichun were present at the ceremony.
Fu spoke highly of Huafa’s development and brand influence. He said the strategic cooperation between Nam Kwong and Huafa is of great significance as it is a major measure of Nam Kwong in joining hands with mainland centrally-administrated SOEs to promote the integration of Macao into national development and the region's transformation to a moderately diverse economy. It is also a specific arrangement of Nam Kwong to boost its own growth, he said. Since Huafa visited Nam Kwong, the two sides have been accelerating cooperation and made substantial progress, he added, calling for the two sides to intensify efforts in integration and cooperation to boost mutually beneficial development in implementing national strategies and initiatives.
Li Guangning extended warm welcome to Nam Kwong delegation. He made detailed introduction to the history and future development of Huafa Group and said that the strategic cooperation with Nam Kwong is of equal significance to Huafa. He hoped closer collaboration with Nam Kwong and joint efforts in advancing cooperation between Zhuhai and Macao by giving full play to the strengths of centrally-administrated SOEs and achieving a new round of upgrading and expanding its own business amid moves to integrate into the building of the Greater Bay Area.
The signing of the agreement marks a milestone as Nam Kwong works to integrate into the mainland development and boost Macao's transformation into a moderately diverse economy. With the strategic cooperation agreement, the two sides will give further play of respective strengths on the basis of current cooperation, unfold all-dimensional and deep-level collaboration in eight areas including special finance, smart city, industrial investment, commercial logistics, culture, convention and exhibition industries and modern agriculture, and achieve win-win cooperation in advancing Zhuhai-Macao cooperation.
