Nam Kwong subsidiary, individual awarded as outstanding centrally-administrated company, role model

A commendation meeting for outstanding centrally-administrated companies and role models in centrally-administrated companies was held at the Great Hall of the People on September 21. Nam Kwong president Fu Jianguo attended the meeting. Nam Kwong Petroleum and Chemicals Co., Ltd. was awarded an outstanding centrally-administrated company. Liang Meiling from the bus company of the China Travel Service (Macao) Limited was recognized a role model. 

State Councilor Wang Yong attended the meeting and met representatives of outstanding companies and role models. Hao Peng, director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council, attended and delivered the meeting. Meng Yang, deputy secretary general of the State Council, was present at the meeting. Zhang Yiquan, deputy minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, announced the awarding decision. Ren Hongbin, deputy director of the SASAC, was the moderator.  

State Councilor Wang Yong said that officials and employees of the centrally-administrated companies have been committed to reforming and growing state-owned enterprises and made remarkable achievements acting upon their original aspirations under the central leadership with Xi Jinping at the core. Outstanding companies and role models represented the best of these officials and employees, he said. With their selfless dedication and hard working, they showcased the principles of dedication, excellence, hardworking, innovation, and working for the public good instead of personal fame or gains in the new era. He stressed that all officials and employees of the centrally-administrated enterprises should take these outstanding companies and role models as examples and act upon Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. They should maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core and keep in alignment, show confidence in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and resolutely uphold Xi Jinping’s central core status as the CPC leadership and the whole Party, as well as the integrated leadership of the CPC Central Committee. They should also shoulder responsibilities, strive for excellence, and be loyalty to their work and dedicated to promoting high-quality development of their enterprises for the goal of building a world first-class business so as to make new breakthroughs for the reform and development of the centrally-administrated enterprises and make great contributions to the two centenary goals. 

Hao Peng, on behalf of the SASAC, extended warm congratulations on honorees and great respect to officials and employees of centrally-administrated enterprises for their contributions to the reform and development of these enterprises.  Hao stressed that at the historical starting point of the 70th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, officials and employees should act up on Xi Jinping’s instruments pertaining to hardworking, role models and craftsmanship and work under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. They should stay true to their original aspirations, keep firmly their mission in mind, maintain passion for business adventure and perform as the way that makes them an employee of centrally-administrated company so as to make concerted efforts for the building of a globally competitive enterprise. 

According to the decision by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the SASAC of the State Council, a total of 499 centrally-administrated companies were awarded outstanding companies and 799 individuals were honored the role models among centrally-administrated companies. 

General secretary, general accountant and deputy general secretary of the SASAC, leading officials of the centrally-administrated companies, heads of competent departments of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, heads of departments of the SASAC, the head of the working group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC and the National Supervisory Commission in SASAC, and representatives of the outstanding companies and role models were present at the meeting.
