Throughout the years, Macau CTS Hotel Management (International) Limited and its subordinate hotels are committed to encouraging employees to actively participate in different types of competitions, give play to their talent, broaden their horizons, enhance their professional knowledge and skills, and improve the quality of hotel services. On December 4, a total of 9 colleagues from Hotel Beverly Plaza, Emperor Hotel Macau and Metropole Hotel Macau, subordinate hotels to Macau CTS Hotel Management (International) Limited, participated in the “2018 Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORS) Gold Pin Competition” held by the Institute for Tourism Studies. The competition received warm response from various star hotels in Macau and a total of 22 hotels signed up to participate.
After two rounds of fierce competition in the early stage, Chen Wenqin and Li Pengxie from the Security Department, Huang Yingxue and Li Yan from the Housekeeping Department of Hotel Beverly Plaza, stood out from many five-star hotels and entered the final by virtue of their solid foundation and professional knowledge and competence. Two employees from Metropole Hotel Macau also entered the finals of two items, “Chinese-style Cuisine Cooks - Hong Kong, Macao and Cantonese Cuisines (Intermediate)" and “Chinese-style Cuisine Cooks - Hong Kong and Macao Dim Sum (Intermediate)". One colleague displayed two specials, “Mandarin Fish with Shallow-fried Bones” and “Broccoli Shrimp”, with two different styles of primitive simplicity and modernity, and the other colleague from the Dim Sum Department displayed two dim sums, “Rose Crispy Pastry” and “Fish Dumplings”. Three colleagues from Emperor Hotel Macau participated in the second round competition of the two items of "front attendants and luggage men" and "room attendants", respectively.
In this competition, with excellent skills and professional competence, the colleagues from the three hotels displayed high-quality product level and services of the subordinate hotels to Macau CTS Hotel Management (International) Limited, and pushed forward the operation and development thereof. In the future, the Company and hotels will continue to provide employees with more diversified training and support, and encourage them to improve their occupational skills and constantly surpass themselves.
