China Travel Service (Macao) Limited Successfully Hosts the VEX Robotics Asia Championship

In 2018, the 12th Tencent Cup VEX Robotics Asia Championship kicked off in Macau. The VEX Robotics Asia Championship is one of the largest, most influential and authoritative robotics competitions in the Asia Pacific region. The competition was sponsored by the Asian Robotics Alliance, and jointly hosted by Shenzhen Tencent, China Travel Service (Macao) Limited and Dongguan Bosi Electronics & Technology, attended by more than 2,000 participants comprising 450 outstanding teams from 9 countries and regions in Asia Pacific.

The opening ceremony was held at 9:30 am on December 1st. The President of the Macau Robotics Development Association, Zhou Zhongyu, and the Chairman of the Asian Robotics League, Liang Zhongming, and the Chairman of the China Region, Zeng Xinglong, attended the ceremony. This year's Asian Championship was once again held in Macau ever since it was last time held in Macau in 2013, with the number of participating teams increasing and the design scope expanding. The fact that the number of both teams and participants exceeded that in last year has demonstrated that the society pays more attention to robotics education and the healthy growth of young people. The VEX Robotics Asia Championship fosters adolescents' interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by providing an interactive competitive platform for designable and programmable robots. Through providing practical experience and idea-sharing community, It also helps enhance students' scientific literacy, cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical ability and strengthen students' practical problem-solving ability and teamwork spirit. At the closing ceremony on December 3rd, Mr. Fang Liqun, Chairman of the Macau CTS, was invited to give a speech and present the prizes to the winners.

As one of the organizers of this event, China Travel Service (Macao) Limited cooperated with the Asian Robotics League for the first time. The event was a large-scale one of over 2,000 participants, and Macau CTS arranged more than ten hotels, 50 buses and more than 40 Macau tour guides for the reception service of the participants. This event has also so far been the longest, most difficult event with most attendants arranged by Macau CTS. Upon completion of this event, the organizer Asian Robotics League highly praised the smooth progress of the event and gave a high evaluation of the responsible attitude and quality service spirit of China Travel Service (Macao) Limited.
