China Travel Service (Macao) Ltd. and Management Teams of Hong Kong-Macao Express Visit Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority

Since the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) in October, the Hong Kong-Macao Express between the urban areas of Macao and Hong Kong has been operating smoothly for nearly a month. On November 15, 10 members and other delegates of the management team and shareholder representatives of China Travel Service (Macao) Ltd. and Hong Kong-Macao Express visited Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority and were warmly received by Director Zhu Yongling of the Bridge Authority and other leaders of the Bridge Authority. 

During the talks, the two parties reached an agreement on the establishment of a notification mechanism. In case of extreme weather and emergencies, the bridge authority shall notify the governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and at the same time inform the Management Team of Hong Kong-Macao Express about the situation, so as to ensure the smooth and orderly transportation of the bridge; the Bridge Authority also focused on introducing emergency equipment for bridge decks and tunnels to the Hong Kong-Macao Express and China Travel Service (Macao) Ltd., and providing internal emergency hotlines; the Bridge Authority shall also be responsible for organizing the drivers of the Hong Kong-Macao Team to conduct emergency drills and other relevant activities.

During the meeting, the Bridge Authority and the Hong Kong-Macao Express reached consensus on communication mechanism and emergency response, and formed the next work plan, which provided a favourable guarantee for the daily operation and service of the Hong Kong-Macao Express.
