Macau CTS Hotel Management Strengthens Exchange with Congjiang County to Ensure the Orderly Implementation of Poverty Alleviation Projects

On October 9, Luo Qiang, governor of Gannan Prefecture, Wu Peng, secretary of the county party committee of Congjiang County, together with other delegates visited and further communicated with Macau CTS Hotel Management to investigate the progress of the projects encompassing Congjiang tourism, hotel construction and agricultural and sideline products, meanwhile expressing gratitude for Macau CTS Hotel Management's continuous efforts to help tackle poverty in Congjiang County. Deputy General Manager of Macau CTS Hotel Management Peng Hua, management personnel, department heads of the Group and other delegates further communicated in a meeting with governor Luo Qiang in the conference room on the 16th floor of Nam Kwong Building, on further accelerating the implementation of poverty alleviation projects in Macao and Guizhou.

During the meeting, Luo Qiang, secretary of the party committee of Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefecture and governor of the Prefecture, first introduced in detail the geographical location, natural scenery, property resources, customs of Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefecture, and analyzed the development of local tourism and hotel industry, providing guidance on accelerating the work of poverty alleviation. Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture is located in the southeastern part of Guizhou Province where there live 47 ethnic groups and ethnic minorities account for 81% of the entire population. Its forests, hydropower, biology, minerals and tourism resources are abundant, attracting a large number of tourists from home and abroad. Governor Luo Qiang said that with the progress on the implementation of the assistance projects together with the unique natural environment of Qiandongnan, Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefecture will become the “back garden” of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He hoped that in the next step, Macau CTS Hotel Management could use the cooperation with Congjiang County as a starting point and gradually extend the cooperation and assistance work to the whole state. He also hoped that, the Company could meanwhile make full use of its advantages and further promote exchange and cooperation on projects such as hotel construction, tourism project planning, and recreation center construction.

Deputy General Manager Peng Hua of Macau CTS Hotel Management introduced the development history of Nam Kwong Group and Macau CTS Hotel Management, giving detailed explanations on the results of the Group's four field researches in Congjiang County as well as on the implementation of next steps. He pointed out that Macau CTS Hotel Management should comply with the deployment call of the Group's mid-term meeting on major poverty alleviation projects, giving full play to the leadership role of its second-level affiliates in poverty alleviation, doing its utmost to ensure the progress on poverty alleviation in Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefecture. He also stated that Macau CTS Hotel Management under the leadership of the Group would continue to conscientiously implement the requirements specified by LOCPG and the Macao SAR government on poverty alleviation in Congjiang County, Guizhou Province, fulfill its social responsibility as a central government-led state-owned enterprise, speed up the implementation of projects including hotel construction in Congjiang, with a particular focus on the exportation of labor and local food culture, contributing to the effective implementation of poverty alleviation projects in an orderly manner and achieving win-win development.
