On January 14, the volunteer team of Nam Kwong Group participated in the “2017 Winter Warming” campaign sponsored by the United General Association of Macao Community Volunteers. They visited elderly users of Ping’antong, and sent in materials and festive greetings.
It happened that a cold wave arrived in Macau, causing a sudden temperature drop. But the chilly wind could not dampen volunteers’ enthusiasm to expressing kindness to elderly people. On the day of the event, nearly 40 volunteers of Nam Kwong Group as well as their family members, together with young volunteers from all walks of life, packed the materials for the elderly into 150 gift bags for 150 households of elderly users, and delivered them to every elderly person, together with the kindness and good wishes from the group and all walks of life. The event was unanimously praised.
This was the first event organized and participated by the Nam Kwong Group’s volunteer team in 2017, which received active response from the volunteers of the group. Some volunteers participating in the event noted that it was very significant for the group to organize such an event before the Spring Festival so that they had the chance to join the Macau community and make contributions to helping the disadvantaged. Some volunteers participated with their children, and some returned from Zhuhai especially for this event. The whole event was warm and compassionate.
